May 2014 News

Dear Parents and Families,

“I will praise your name for you have done wonderful things.” Isaiah 25:1

Wonderful things have been happening with our students as we share and learn about the love of Jesus during our “Growing in Grace Chapel Time.”
One day we enjoyed a “Big Picnic” of bread and fish, just like Jesus did in the Bible story Feeding the Five thousand.  The children had to share their basket of food with a friend just like the little boy in our story shared his lunch.
We spent time studying and learning about the many miracles Jesus performed while he was here.
During Lent and Easter we opened the Resurrection Eggs and retold the story of Jesus death and resurrection. We waved our palm branches and sang "Hosanna to our King". We discussed how Jesus continued to appear and visit his followers after his resurrection our students knew Jesus was alive.
As we finish our study of the Life of Jesus, we have learned along with the disciples that Jesus is going to return to Heaven, and we remembered His words: “I am with you always”. Matthew 28:20
Our students have been learning to let Jesus into their lives and be the King of their hearts.
Grace and Peace to all our families at Joyful Noise,
Ms. Bev

March 2014 Updates: Shine your light!

Dear Parents and Families,

In our Growing in Grace chapel time our students have been learning about the life of Jesus. During chapel the children discovered Jesus grew up as a child just like them, and when he was older he performed miracles and taught everyone about God’s love.

Our students have been enjoying new songs and finger plays to coordinate with our Bible stories.  They are letting their lights shine brightly for Jesus.
One of our recent stories was when Jesus was baptized and a demonstration with the Baptismal font proved to be a captivating point of interest for all the classes.
We as we continue through the months of March and, April the children will see Jesus’s power revealed through the miracles he performs. Christ ultimate power will be witness through his death and resurrection as we look forward to Easter.
It is truly a joy and a blessing to be able to share the love of Jesus with the children of Joyful Noise.
God Bless all of our families,
Ms. Bev

The JN Nativity Special: Combined Growing in Grace Program!

Our precious angel girls!
Mary Had a Baby...Yes, Lord!

We had a wonderful time performing in the rec room for each other today as all of our combined Growing in Grace classes had a joined assembly! Each class sang a special tune (infants and toddlers sang "Jesus Loves the Little Ones Like Me" and "This Little Light of Mine", two's sang "Ring Ring Ring the Bells" and "Jesus Loves The Little Children", the three's sang "Baby Jesus" and the four year old class performed the story of baby Jesus through the song "Mary Had a Baby"!).

At the very end, all of the students joined together to sing, "Go Tell It On The Mountain". It was a wonderful performance and all of the classes took their roles very seriously! =) Please enjoy the photos below and let us know if you would like any high resolution images for printing at Office@JoyfulNoiseKids.com.

Have a wonderful and blessed holiday!

The program opened with prayer. Even our little students take this time very seriously!

The Advent Season is Upon Us!

The Advent Season is Upon Us!
________________________

Season’s Greetings!

Advent is upon us and during chapel time this month we are looking forward to celebrating the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
This first week we’ve learned of the Good News to Mary. She was going to be the mother of the promised Messiah. We talked of promises and what they mean when given. God promised to send a Savior who is Christ the King and he always keeps his promises!
Next week we will be finding out the “rest” of the story. The children are eager to hear more about Mary & Joseph’s trip to Bethlehem. Also we have been learning some new songs and finger plays to celebrate the season. The children love to sing and move to the music used in chapel time. It is such a pleasure to see them engaged in such joyful praise and worship to our Lord and Savior.
Happy Holidays,
Ms. Bev

Fall 2013

Dear Parents & Families,

We’ve had wonderful beginning to our “Chapel Time” this year. Growing in Grace started in September by putting on the "Armour of God".

Our story time has been based on the scripture passage from Ephesians 6:10-18. Our story began with Elijah showing the “True God” and putting on our belts of “TRUTH.” The next piece of armour was the “SWORD of the SPIRIT” which is the word of God. We then heard the story about “Jacob’s Dream”.

As the study continued through the month of September, the children learned of God’s powerful strength and put on the “BREAST PLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.”  As we entered into October and got ready to spread the love of Jesus, we put on our “GOOD NEWS SHOES.” As we finish off October we have armed ourselves like Paul & Silas with our “SHIELDS of FAITH,” and the "HELMET of SALVATION.”
In the upcoming month of November chapel time will focus on Worship, Praise and Thankfulness.  I feel truly blessed and grateful to be able to share God’s love with all of our students at Joyful Noise.

Blessings to all,

Ms. Bev

I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.  Psalm 9:1

Elisha's Kind Friends

"Be kind one to another..." Ephesians 4:32

This week, the children have been learning about what it means to be a kind friend. During chapel they heard the story of Elisha and his friends. Elisha was busy traveling from town to town doing the work of the Lord. Elisha often traveled through the village of Shunem. When he did he would stop to see his friends. His friends loved to visit with Elisha and they prepared a special room for him to stay in. You can find the story of Elisha in, 2 Kings Chapter 4.

During chapel the children learned a simple new song to help remind them that they can be a kind friend, just like Elisha's friends were kind to him. Here are the lyrics and tune.

I Will Be A Kind Friend
Sung to the tune of Mary Had A Little Lamb

"I will be a kind friend,
kind friend, kind friend.
I will be a kind friend
every single day!"

The children also made special friendship bracelets to help remind them that they can be a kind friend. On each braclet there was a
HEART to remind the children that, God loves them and they can love others. The STAR reminds us that we want to be a shining light for Jesus, and the CROSS reminds us, that Jesus is our best friend.
