GROWING IN GRACE
JULY 2020
Welcome back our blog

Last week in Growing in Grace the 4's & SA students heard about dragons, toothpaste, watchdogs, "snarky" attitudes, and taming tongues.

Sammy, Sadie, Max, and Campbell help show the story sheets about showing kindness, love, and having a good attitude.🙏

The Bible gives us many verses about watching what we say and how we speak to others.
"Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech." 1st Peter 3:10

"Reckless words, pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."
Proverbs 12:18

We learned that when we say something that may be unkind or hurtful it is just like the toothpaste out of a tube we cannot put the tooth paste, or the words back in. We can however stop; and realize what was said, might have been hurtful, and apologize if we've offended or cause some else to feel bad.

Fireball; the dragon also stopped by. She was speaking and acting a bit "snarky" towards me.
The students and I asked her too please demonstrate a better attitude and use her tongue to speak kinder words.   "My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to you..."                                       Psalm 71:23

Everyone agreed to be good watchdogs of their words and attitudes.
"Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth: keep
the door of my lips." Psalm 141:3

"Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else." 1st Thessalonians 5:5

We finished our lesson by using our mouths and tongues to sing songs of praise to God.

Audrey, Charly, Cash & Addie showing  kindness and helpfulness 💟

The Nursery kids

The little ones in the Nursery use their tongues and mouths for eating and singing with our Growing in Grace music. Kaven, Sawyer, & Leah had lunch and chapel time today.
Our closing prayer: Thank you Jesus for helping us to show your kindness every day. Amen!

Thanks for stopping by. Check us out again soon,
Blessing and good health,
Ms. Bev🙏
