The Pumpkin Patch Parable

OCTOBER 2017

This last week in October at chapel time I read the book 

"The Pumpkin Patch Parable . We took a different look at pumpkin carving. We are like God's little pumpkins and we learned how Jesus comes into our hearts and cleans out the "Yucky stuff" and lets his light shine in our hearts. We prayed the pumpkin patch prayer together too.    (next week back to the alphabet Letter G-Gideon)

Dear God, 

Open my mind to learn about you,

Take away all my sin and forgive me for the wrong things I do.

Open my eyes so your love I will see:

Forgive me for turning up my nose at all you've done for me.

Open my ears so your word I will hear.

Open my mouth so I can tell others about you!

Let your light shine in all I say and do! Amen

October 2017 Letter F

JOYFUL NOISE

OCTOBER 2017

Another week has ended and our letter for this week wa the Letter "F". Our story centered around Jesus calling his followers/disciples to help him share the Good News of God's love. Jesus taught his followers to be fishers of men and he wants us to do the same.

Our memory verse for the letter "F" was:
                           "For God so loved the world he gave his only Son." John 3:16                                        
           

The Three's class had their feet painted as they walked
                    the path to follow Jesus.

 

   

 

The  each class was eager to follow Jesus!

      Oh how we love Jesus because he first loved me. 

"Follow me and I will make you Fisher's of men."   Matthew 4:19

Elijah and Elisha are the characters in our story this week for letter E. 

Our story is about when Elijah was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire. The children had fun finger painting orange fire around the chariot. Take a look into our chapel time.

LETTER "D"

This week we are on the Letter D and the story is about Daniel in the Lions Den. I used the flannel graph to tell the story. The children helped tell the story by adding the lions. Take a peek into the "Lions Den." Daniel remain strong in his faith and trusted in God to protect him.

Our memory verse for this week is: "Do not be worry about anything..."  Phil.4:6.
