Hello Parents & Families, August 2016
No chapel for the month of August as we prepare for the transition of classes, and I will be focusing on the planning for the upcoming year of Growing in Grace. I will return in September with new weekly updates of our chapel time with each class.
Our theme for the upcoming year will be the Armor of the Lord, based on the Bible passage from Ephesians 6:10-17. We will put on the belt of Truth, the helmet of Salvation, the Good News shoes, the shield of Faith, and the Armor of Righteousness.
We will build our strength in Jesus.
Its been a great summer!
See ya in September,
Ms.Bev

David and Goliath
July 25, 2016
DAVID & GOLIATH BIBLE STORY
This is our final Bible story for the month of July. Our toddlers listened well to our story of David and Goliath.
Only a little sling
Only a rippling brook
Only a boy name David
And five little stones he took
One little stone went into the sling
And the sling went round and round
And one little stone went up in the air
And the Giant came tumbling down.
Our God is so big so strong and so mighty there's nothing our God cannot do!

Growing in Grace July 2016
July 18-21, 2016
Good Afternoon Parents & Families.
This week in Growing in Grace the children will learn what it means to have a heart for Jesus. In the Nursery we read from the Baby Bible about how much Jesus loves us and wants us as his children to have a heart of love for others.
I also read portions of the book "A Heart for Jesus" written by
Juanita Bynum with wonderful illustrations. We finished off with music and singing. All of my furry puppet friends joined in also. Leo, Luca, and little Buddy Bear.
All the students enjoy Leo and his friends when they visit us during chapel time. Below are some photo's of this weeks Growing in Grace sessions: Nursery, Toddlers, & the Two's classes. The 3/4 old group will resume their schedule in September.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
"Change my heart O God make it ever true."
"Change my heart O God may I be like you."

The B-I-B-L-E
I'm relatively new to the world of blogging; but I too will now be making a small attempt to let our parents know a bit more of what we are doing with our students during their "Growing in Grace" chapel time." My hope is to keep things simple and informative. Thank you for your support and understanding. Blessings to you all,
Ms. Bev
This week in Growing in Grace our students will be learning that the Bible is God's Word to us. We will be looking at a variety of different styles of Bible textbooks, along with Bible storybooks.
Here are the kids from the Nursery with our song paddles.
Tuesday the toddlers spent time exploring all my Bible books. They loved their own Bible necklaces.
The Two's class also enjoyed looking through my Bible storybooks and they had fun working there B-I-B-L E sewing cards.
Jesus Loves the Little Children.
The Nursery children love to sing along.
I have hidden your word in my heart. Psalm 119:11

Growing Grace July 2106
Dear Parent’s & Families,
As summer unfolds
before us Growing in Grace is continuing with the two’s, toddlers, and nursery
classrooms. Our time is spent with praise, music, stories and songs.
This month included a special praise and worship session in
which our students formed a praise band and we made a “Joyful Noise” unto the
Lord together. Even the older classes and school age students joined in.
The remaining weeks of July will be learning about God’s Word
the Bible, having a heart for Jesus, and a standard favorite, “David and
Goliath.”
Looking ahead to August there will be a short break in Growing
in Grace as preparations for a new school year will be starting. We will resume
all classes after Labor Day.
Praise & Blessing to you all,
Ms. Bev

June 2016 Newsletter
Dear Joyful Noise
Families, June 2016
Our
Growing in Grace “Fruit of the Spirit” tree has been completed with the final
fruit being added this month. Since last September we have learned and studied
about the nine fruits which reflect the character traits of Jesus and teaches
us about how to treat and serve others as he did.
As
we enter into the summer schedule for Growing in Grace we will be looking into
some Old Testament stories, the Miracles of Jesus as well as some of the Parables
he taught.
I’m
grateful for another wonderful year with all our students. I thank God for all
the blessings I have been able to share with these children; through their
songs, prayers, and eager participation in our chapel activities.
Happy
summer to all,
Ms.
Bev
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
