February 2015 Newsletter

Dear Joyful Noise Families,                  February  2015

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to share the Bible with our students here at Joyful Noise. They are so eager and receptive when we gather for Growing in Grace chapel time.

     Our students have been learning about showing kindness and being kind friends. They have shown they all have a heart for Jesus. Racing baby Moses down the Nile was a fun activity for letter M and putting the animals on Noah’s Ark for letter N.  

     For the month of February our Alphabet letters will be O, P, Q, & R. Our story topics will be Jonah, Popcorn Prayers, and the Spirit of the Lord. Of course, with it being February we will be talking about Valentine’s Day and sharing the love of Jesus with others.

January 2015 Newsletter

Dear Joyful Noise Families,                                                 January 2015

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas break, holiday celebrations, and family time with loved ones.

We completed the month of December with a wonderful Nativity reenactment by the Four year old class, and a combined chapel in which all our students participated in singing and celebration of the birth of Christ.   

This month we will be continuing through the alphabet with letters K, L, M & N. Our stories will include, Moses, Noah, Kindness, and Love – “a heart for Jesus.”

 I’m looking forward to getting back into our regular daily scheduled chapel times and all the eager children.  As we stand on the threshold of 2015, I would like to wish all our Joyful Noise families, peace, joy, hope, and faithfulness today and every day of the year.

December 2014 Newsletter

Dear Joyful Noise Families,      

                             

Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s hard to believe we are looking toward our Christmas celebrations already!

The alphabet Bible stories continue to be very well received by our students and currently we are on letter J, for Jesus, which coincides with our Christmas nativity stories. 

Growing in Grace will take a short break through the week of Christmas and return to regular weekly class schedules in January of the New Year.

All classes have been working on special songs and finger plays for our special combine chapel on Dec. 17th. The children will celebrate the birth of Jesus through music and a short nativity play. The staff and students love to join together in praise and worship.

November 2014 Newsletter

Dear Joyful Noise Families,

WOW! I can hardly believe we are going to be heading into November and looking toward Christmas and the end of the year.

 The alphabet Bible stories have been going very well. The children are beginning to recognize when the alphabet letters match their name, or that of a friend.  We’ve had some exciting Bible stories which have included lions, fishermen and even a fiery chariot! 

We ended October with The Pumpkin Parable and the” Pumpkin Prayer.”     The children learn how the farmer cleans out the yucky inside of a pumpkin before carving; God cleans out our “Yucky Stuff” and makes us new inside and out! So we can let our lights shine like the candle in the pumpkin.

 On Thursday Oct.30 the four year class came to for a special outdoor chapel time and pumpkin treasure hunt through the woods. We enjoyed apple cider, and donuts. Then the children had time to run around play, make a craft, and find a pumpkin in the yard we were thankful for the great morning we were able to enjoy together.

Dear Parent’s & Families,

                   

Our weekly chapel time is coming to a close for the summer months.  As warmer weather approaches many more outdoor activities and field trips are being planned by our teachers. 

Growing in Grace for our three’s, and four’s classes will be finishing by the end of June. They will resume; with new stories, themes, and craft activities in September.

The two’s, toddlers, and nursery students will continue having Growing in Grace chapel time on a reduced schedule or with combined classrooms.

As we finish out the month of June we will review and share our favorite Bible stories from the past year, sing, and thank God for all his blessings!

Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.
