Creation

"God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good." Genesis 1:31

The children had a great time learning about how God created our beautiful world. The story really came alive when the children were asked to help Ms. Bev with the creation of the earth. They started with an empty box and as Ms. Bev read from the story, each child helped add items to the box until it was complete. The children learned that God loves them and that is why he created such a neat world for them to live in. God was very pleased with all he had created and he called it, "Good!"

On the 5th day God created the birds and fish.
Then on the 6th day God created land animals and people!

God created man from the dust of the ground and blew the breath of life in him.

The children learned a new song from Ministry To Children to help them remember the seven days of creation.

The Seven Days of Creation
To The Tune Of: "Are You Sleeping Brother John."

God created (echo)
Night and day (echo)
That was on the first day (echo)

Animals and People (echo)
That was on the sixth day (echo)

Then God rested (echo)
From his work (echo)
That was on the seventh day (echo)
All was good (echo)

Jesus Loves The Children

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart…” Deut. 6:5

Growing in Grace had a great first week!

Ms. Bev's friend Leo the leopard greeted the children as they arrived to chapel. The children enjoyed giving Leo hugs and quickly realized that Leo was a friendly leopard who loves children. Leo helped Ms. Bev introduce our bible lesson from Luke chapter 18. Luke 18 says; "One day Jesus was out teaching a group of people about God's love. While he was teaching some children wanted to get closer to see him. As the children approached Jesus some men stopped them and told them that Jesus was too busy for them. However, Jesus overheard what the men said and told them to let the children come." This story reminds us that Jesus loves children and is never too busy for them.

Leo loved receiving hugs from the Toddlers!

The 2's and 4's give chapel a thumbs-up!

Make sure to stop and take a look at our
"I can bee thumb-body with Jesus" poster located in the entryway!

The 3's class did a great job leading us in singing
"Jesus Love The Little Children." Check out the video clip below!
