WAITING FOR JESUS

This week our stories are about a baby born in Bethlehem. Mary had a baby named him Jesus, laid him in a manger, Yes Lord! 

These are the words from one of our Christmas songs, we have been singing during chapel time. You may hear a verse or two from your own child.  We also added a few more things to the Christmas mural. The two's & toddlers made lambs on the hillside. The 3's & 4's classes added beautiful angels. Quinn in our School age classroom drew the city of Bethlehem for our mural. Everyone worked together to make a great picture for our wall. It certainly came out beautiful!

GROWING IN GRACE 

DECEMBER 2018

 We official begin the season of advent. Waiting for Jesus to be born. Our story for the week is when the angel Gabriel came to Mary to tell her she was going to have baby the Son of God, and he shall be name Jesus. We are making an advent mural  in Growing in Grace. 
We will be adding something from the stories each week. This week some of the children  made stars for our wall mural. Then we sang about Mary and Baby Jesus. All the children had fun when we used the bells to sing Jingle  Bells.

Some of our students in the 2s 3's & 4's classes

will be taking home some special advent calendars and booklets to share with their families during this holiday season. These were given to us to share with our chapel students from the Children's Ministry of the First Pres. Church. These are wonderful tools to help count down the days until Christmas when Jesus was born.  Enjoy together as a family activity!

The Toddler class enjoyed singing and moving to the Butterfly Song. Our story this week was about the Poor Widow's Gift. She gave all she had and was a cheerful giver.  The other classes
