GROWING IN GRACE

APRIL 2017

Dear Parents & Families, 

We welcome spring and the celebration of new life through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 

This past month we used The Resurrection Eggs to help tell the Easter Story.  We  began the month of April with Jesus's joyful enter into Jeruselem. Songs of worship and happy Hosanna's to the King of Kings was a big part of our Growing in Grace time.

All the children enjoyed singing and  waving their palm branches like the crowds who lined up to see Jesus riding into the city. 
Throughout the month we continued our focus on the Easter story and Jesus's appearences to his friends after his resurrection.

 The Seder Meal- Dinner with Friends -The Last Supper     April 2017

This is a special week and we celebrated the Passover - Seder also  know as The Last Supper.

The children  were able to see and tasted some of the foods Jesus may have eaten with his friends on the night of the Passover Supper.

This month in Chapel we are learning about the Miricles of Jesus. We've seen how a blind man was able to see again after Jesus put mud on his eyes.

The Wedding at Cana-Water into Wine  

March 13-17

Jesus's true power & glory were revealed when he turned water into wine at the wedding party in Cana. An "Ephiphany" for Jesus's followers and for us too!                                                         

We enjoyed a sip of grape flavored water

                       


                 

The little ones in the nursery know God is always with them. They enjoyed a special story book  and music.

       
                                                                

     

A Big Picnic-Feeding the Five Thousand

March 20-21

This week in chapel it's all about sharing-Like the little boy who shared his lunch. We are having a sharing picnic too! Five loaves and two fishes. Check it out!

What a great month of learning  about the Miricles of Jesus. All the classes enjoyed the special picnic treats and baskets of fish and bread when we read the story of Jesus feeding 5000 people with 5 loaves of bread and two little fish.
